What is Alma Action Association? Well AAA, as it is also known, is the Alma branch of the Gratiot Area Chamber of Commerce. The AAA is responsible for many of the community events in Alma and promoting those events. The goal is to create a positive image for Alma and to produce events that raise the profile of the Alma Community among its citizens and visitors.
Alma Action Association meetings provide you the opportunity to learn what is happening in Alma and Gratiot County. You get a monthly report from the Gratiot Area Chamber of Commerce representative on what is happening in other local communities. You hear from Alma's Downtown Development Authority Director on what is new in Alma. The Pine River Arts Council has a monthly calendar that is shared with the group listing all kinds of entertainment that will be happening for the month. Since the group is made up of people from a variety of businesses, you learn about activities and opportunities in the community.
Attending meetings and volunteering to work events is a great way to network. The people who give of their time come from all walks of life. Volunteering is great way to meet new people and to get your business's name out in the public.
When you give of your time to a committee that is organizing an event you learn a lot about how organizing and working with others. You also get to work with an abundance of local talent in our Alma Community. In the process you help create something great the community will enjoy and you will know that you are doing something to make Alma a more fun and interesting place to live.
