Alma Highland Festival & Games
The City of Alma is proud to be home the the Annual Highland Festival & Games, held the last weekend in May of each year. Thousands from all over the country and Canada come to "Scotland USA" to join in the celebration. Events include the annual parade on Saturday morning, the Festival of Races featuring 5k and 8 mile runs; Great Lakes Highland Dance Championship; US Open Pipe Band Championship; Heavyweight Professional Athletic Competition and the Great Lakes Heavyweight Amateur Athletic Competition; Arts & Crafts Fair and many more activities.

Masonic Pathways Cruise-In Car Show & Free Community Outdoor Movie
This event normally happens the first part of August at Masonic Pathways. The evening consists of the Cruise-In Car Show, classic cars and music. After you've enjoyed the classic cars, get your blanket or lawn chair and join in for an outdoor movie. More information will be posted as it becomes available.
Mark your calendars for the Saturday following Labor Day for theAnnual Lucky MacDuck Community Day. The activities are held south of the Alma Public Library at Highland Park. Lucky MacDuck is a day of fun, games and activities for the young and young at heart! The "Duckling Activities" will include games and entertainment such as pony rides, inflatables, face painting and play/craft activities. An entertainment tent provides constant music and dancing by area performers. Food and beveragesare available for purchase.A 50-50 raffle is also held. The day's activities conclude with the exciting rubber duck race down the Pine River. Cash prizes will be awarded for the three top finishers. Additional prizes of goods and services donated by local merchants and businesses are also awarded to a large number of the subsequent finishing ducks.
