The 12th Come Home to Alma for the Holidays was a great success thanks all the individuals, participants, businesses and families who made it a wonderful evening.  We would like to recognize the winners of the drawing and the activities and to thank our many sponsors and volunteers. 

Winners of the Christmas Cash Drawing were: Karol Davidson, Dianne Wieferich, Teri Loney, Donna Sinclair, and Dawn Butcher.  This year five door prizes were given out from Mancino’s Pizza and J & J Giles Tire.  Winners of the door prizes were: Vicki Hammond, Rosa Ramirez, Jennifer McConkie, Sharon Church, Roger Baker and Bonnie Lutz.  Thanks to everyone who shopped locally for the Christmas Holiday and was in attendance to win!

The second annual scavenger hunt winners were: 1st Place - Team Sharks – Deb McLaughlin, Tammy Klifman and Marda Jackson; 2nd Place – Team Sleighers – Nicole Lauer and Barb Shaull; 3rd Place went to Team 2 Wise Women Trumps 3 Wise Men – Vicki Hammond and Lynn Sandro; 4th Place went to Team Christmas Ninjas – Billie Jo Davis, Meri DeGroft and Jake Davis; and 5th Place went to Team Crazy Ladies – Heidi Loff and Karen Reinstra.  Thanks to participants and participating businesses.

This year’s business receiving the most votes for the Window Decorating Traveling Trophy was Ace of Diamonds.  Receiving the most votes for second was Energy First, Tom Billig, AshLin Portraits, and Alma Hardware.  Finally, receiving the most third place votes was AshLin Portraits and Energy First.  Thanks to all the businesses that made their windows special for the holiday season.

The Tree Decorating Winners were: 1st Place went to the Alma Community Art Center “Crystal Colors”; 2nd Place went to Cub Scouts 3610 “Organized Chaos”; and 3rd Place went to Tom Billig “Billig’s Party Tree”.  This was a great year for the tree contest with 16 entries!  Thanks to everyone who voted for your favorite tree.

The Parade had a record number of participants with 33 entries.  This year’s best parade entry winners were: 1st Place: Mancino’s Pizza; 2nd Place: Twin City Landscape; and 3rd Place went to Alma Elks Lodge.  This was a really great year for the parade and we hope to make it larger next year.
