Hours of Operation:
We are open Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 8:00pm. We are closed on holidays that are observed by the City of Alma.

Children under 5 ride for free when accompanied with an adult.
Ages 5 to 64 is $2.00 per ride.
Ages 65 to 74 is $1.00 per ride.
Over 75 ride for FREE!
ATC also offers a reduced fare for those with disabilities at $1.00 per ride.
Trips to Mount Pleasant:
ATC and I-Ride (Public Transportation Services of the Isabella County Transportation Commission) have partnered together to provide service to and from Alma and Mount Pleasant.
ATC goes north at 8:00am, 12:00 noon, and 6:00pm. The cost is $4.00 per ride or $2.00 reduced fare.
I-Ride comes south at 10:00am, 2:00pm, and 4:00pm. Their cost is $4.00 per ride or $2.00 reduce fare.
ALL RIDES SHOULD BE BOOKED 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE if you plan on traveling from Alma to Mount Pleasant. Short notice rides may not be accommodated based on availability.

Current Fare Schedule
Starting July 1st, 2021 the Alma Transit Center will have a new fare schedule. Kids under 5 ride for free with their parent/guardian, youth (5-17) and adults (18-64) will have a two dollar ($2.00) fare. The senior rate (65-74) and reduced fare will be one dollar ($1.00). 75 and over (Gold Card) will ride for free. You can travel with these rates anywhere in our new service area of: Alma, St. Louis, Ithaca and Pine River Township!
The mission of the Alma Transit Center is to build a community transit system that emphasizes managing the mobility needs of all people in the most efficient manner possible. We strive to achieve high customer satisfaction through our relationships and understand we do more than just give people a ride.
Meet the Director
Brett Baublitz is the Director for the Alma Transportation Center. He was appointed to the position in May 2018. Baublitz graduated from Ithaca High School in 1990, and Lansing Community College in 1992 with an associate degree in business administration with a criminal justice focus. After graduation, Baublitz was hired into the Gratiot County Sheriff's Office where he served for 25 years. The last 7 years he served as the Jail Administrator. He's excited to work for the City of Alma, and is looking forward to many more years here.
